Think of us as the gateway that introduces casual attendees to your permanent fan community, increasing downloads and long-term engagement with your owned platforms.
What data do we get, and who owns it?
You own all data generated at your events, period. You get comprehensive analytics: participation rates, engagement patterns, demographic insights, sentiment analysis, and sponsor performance metrics. All data is GDPR-compliant and privacy-focused. We provide the infrastructure and insights; you maintain full ownership and control. Analytics dashboards are available in real-time during events and for post-event analysis.
How quickly can we go live with Pipeup?
For a basic setup, within days. A full deployment with custom branding, sponsor integrations, and staff training typically takes 2-4 weeks. Rush timelines are possible; we've launched events with 24-hour notice. The platform itself requires no installation: just a browser and internet connection. The timeline depends mainly on your approval processes for creative assets and moderation policies, not technical constraints.

How do you moderate content in real-time?
Our dual-layer moderation combines AI filtering with human oversight. The AI instantly screens for inappropriate content, profanity, and spam, while admins maintain final control via our dashboard. You can set custom keyword filters and adjust moderation levels based on your event's needs.
Can features be used together or separately?
Completely flexible. Run Post, Snap, and Vote simultaneously for maximum engagement, or activate individual features based on your event structure. Switch between features during breaks, halftime, or specific moments—our system adapts to your event flow in real-time.
What happens if content volume is too high?
Our smart queue system prioritizes quality over quantity. The AI ranks submissions by relevance, diversity, and engagement potential, ensuring a balanced mix on screen. Admins can manually promote standout content, and you can adjust display duration to match submission rates. No worthy content gets lost.
Do fans need to download an app?
No downloads required. Fans access Pipeup directly through their mobile browser via QR code or short link. This eliminates friction and maximizes participation, especially important for one-time event visitors who wouldn't download a dedicated app.
How does voting work with live results?
Voting can be activated anytime, either as view-only (to preview options) or open for voting. All votes are anonymous and interim results initially hidden from the audience. Once voting closes, admins push the results on the public screen, whether just the winner, a top-three countdown, or any custom selection that creates the most dramatic reveal.
What if fans share inappropriate photos?
All Snap submissions pass through moderation before going live. The AI pre-screens images for explicit content, violence, or brand conflicts, flagging questionable submissions for admin review. You maintain complete control—nothing appears on screen without approval, protecting your brand and audience experience.

What technical requirements do I need to run Pipeup at my venue?
You need a computer with a browser (Chrome recommended) connected to your LED wall/screen via HDMI or similar. A stable internet connection is essential. That's it: no special hardware or software installation required. For large venues, we recommend a dedicated connection to ensure consistent performance during peak engagement moments.
How does Pipeup integrate with our existing digital ecosystem?
Pipeup is web-based and integrates seamlessly via simple URL links into your fan app, website, or ticketing system. The platform operates as a complementary layer that drives users to your existing tools: directing fans to your app for voucher redemptions, guiding them to sponsor websites, or channeling engagement into your owned platforms. Pipeup doesn't replace your infrastructure; it enhances it by creating engagement moments that lead users exactly where you want them to go.
Can we customize Pipeup to match our brand identity?
Absolutely. You can customize your Pipe's color scheme with your HEX codes, add your logos and sponsor branding, create custom backgrounds, and personalize the Pipe name and messaging. The core typography remains standardized to ensure optimal readability across all devices and screen sizes, but all visual branding elements can be tailored to your identity.
What content rights do we get from user submissions?
You (the organizer) and Pipeup receive a non-exclusive, 30-day usage right for all user-generated content (posts, photos, votes) submitted through your Pipe. This allows you to display content on LED walls, use it in your official social media channels, and feature it in your newsletters. Important: The 30-day period starts from publication or receipt of the content, whichever comes first. Advertising partners and sponsors are explicitly excluded from using or republishing user-generated content; only the organizer and Pipeup may use it within the specified framework.
Is Pipeup GDPR-compliant and how is user data protected?
Yes, Pipeup is fully GDPR-compliant. User participation is voluntary, anonymous by default, and we collect minimal data: only what's necessary for the experience. Users maintain control over their submissions, and you maintain full ownership of event data. All data is stored securely, and can be deleted per user request or regulatory requirements.
What support and training do you provide?
Pipeup is very easy to control. But of course we provide onboarding including platform training, moderation best practices, and event management workflows. During live events, you get technical support to ensure smooth operation. We also can provide on-site assistance for your events if needed. Our goal is to make you confident and autonomous in running Pipeup.
Can Pipeup scale for both small and large events?
Absolutely. Pipeup scales from intimate 50-person gatherings to massive 50,000+ stadium events. The platform architecture adjusts automatically to handle varying loads, whether you have 10 or 10,000 simultaneous users. We optimize the infrastructure based on your expected audience size and engagement patterns to ensure consistently smooth performance.
What languages and regions does Pipeup support?
Currently, Pipeup's platform interface is available in German and English. The bad-word filters and content moderation work with all languages and can be configured for your specific regional requirements. We're continuously expanding our language support. If you need an additional language for your events, we can implement it quickly and efficiently. Our moderation tools are language-aware and adapt to local cultural sensitivities and regulatory requirements for any market.
